To install it, you simply slide the receiver portion of the lift into the vehicles receiver hitch and insert the hitch pin and clip as you would with any standard 1 ¼” or 2” receiver hitch arrangement.

The AutoLift is easy to use! With the lift in the lowered position, you merely drive the PET on to it, get off it and then use the PET throttle to raise the lift until it locks in the fully elevated position. The lift comes equipped with two automatic self locking clamps that hold the PET in place whenever the lift it is off the ground. They will automatically retract when the lift is lowered to the ground. No other hold downs are necessary when transporting your PET! The contact surfaces are coated in vinyl to resist movement of the PET and the hold downs can be padlocked (lock optional) deterring theft.

The lift has a ratchet mechanism that holds it at whatever elevation it has reached, until you release the device and it returns gradually to the ground. It comes equipped with a separate hand crank so it can be manually raised should your PET become inoperable. The crank can also be used to elevate the AutoLift off the ground in order to transport it without the PET, should you wish to travel with the lift remaining in the receiver hitch.

The AutoLift is made of light weight aluminum weighing only 19 Lbs. It measures 22” W X 22” Lg. X 26” H and is small enough to be easily placed in your trunk or in the back of your SUV or Van.

The AutoLift is white powder coated and comes with a red reflector making it visible at night. It is made of weather resistant materials; allowing it to be exposed to the elements, but it is recommended that you keep it under cover whenever possible as this will extend the life of the lift.
